SXSW confirms security concerns force cancellation of major show'The Roots and Friends

Austin Police arrested Trevor Weldon Ingram last night on third degree felony charges of making a terroristic threat.

A bomb threat in Austin, Tex., led to an arrest and the cancellation of a Roots concert at the South by Southwest festival.

The statement said that Ingram allegedly emailed the threat, which Live Nation Music reported to police Saturday afternoon.

The email received at 4:23pm on Saturday targeted a venue space where the band The Roots was scheduled to perform, according to Dallas News.

The city said the show sponsor Bud Light made the decision to cancel the event in the interest of attendee safety, though Bud Light didn't announce any such plans until 9:42pm.
