What are England fans singing?

Three Lions set to return to the Top 40 ahead of England's quarter-final

The famous song "Three Lions" has topped the United Kingdom charts 22 years after it's first release as the nation continues to be gripped by England's performance at the World Cup in Russian Federation.

England now face either Croatia or Russian Federation in the Semi-Finals on Wednesday.

An hour later when fans were still in the stadium and singing their hearts out, Southgate returned to the pitch and waved his arms as if conducting an orchestra.

Now that the team is just one win away from reaching a World Cup final, a common refrain is ringing from the stands of English supporters: "It's coming home".

"For me, Uruguay have been excellent, I like Belgium, but I think it will be a Croatia, England semi-final, and then if England get though I fancy them, I really fancy them". And that is entirely thanks to "Three Lions".

If you should be in England during the World Cup, you will hear it uttered every few minutes as if it were a totally casual remark: "Oy, mate, it's coming home", one lad will say to another.

The Three Lions was originally released for the European Championships in 1996 when it topped the charts.

Scott Pruitt resigned. Twitter was ready
In a tweet Thursday afternoon, Trump said he had accepted the resignation of the beleaguered EPA chief. Instead he took the opportunity to declare his loyalty to Trump and any of his future pursuits.

The chorus originated from the fact that England established the world's first governing body of soccer in 1863, according to Federation Internationale de Football Association.

"Of course that's fantastic, but I think it's time we knock it off the Number 1 spot... with "Three Lions"," he says in a rousing pre-match speech on Twitter. As a result, there isn't an obvious tune to belt out along the lines of a World in Motion from 1990, or Three Lions '98 from the World Cup of that year.

In fact, England is aiming for a historic "three-peat" after winning both the Federation Internationale de Football Association U20 and U17 World Cups a year ago.

Former EastEnders star Harry Reid posted about both the World Cup game and Pride London, taking place on the same day.

Talk about spreading the England cheer on the other side of the pond!

"We got out we download and we stream "Three Lions", and we get it to Number 1". You have well and truly earned your place in the final eight of the #WorldCup and you should know the whole country is right behind you for Saturday!
