Conor McGregor Pleads Guilty To Disorderly Conduct Charge

Mixed martial arts star McGregor returns to court for NYC melee

Former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor was sentenced for his involvement in the UFC 223 incident that sent several of his fellow fighters to the hospital. The plea deal did not include a probation term, which will make it easier for him to continue to work and travel back and forth to the United States. His SBG teammate Cian Cowley was given the same sentence with McGregor agreeing to pay for the damage caused in the incident.

The Brooklyn District Attorney's office agreed to drop the felony charge McGregor, 29, had faced for throwing a dolly at a bus full of other MMA fighters, three of whom were injured.

Some of the fighters were injured as a result of glass broken in the bus windows and were therefore unable to fight days later at the MMA in NY.

The charges related to an incident in April where McGregor and his entourage went on a rampage in an underground vehicle park smashing windows on a bus filled with UFC fighters who were at the Barclays Centre Arena in Brooklyn to publicise the upcoming UFC 223 event. "You're the champ Conor!"

Riders hit by tear gas on Tour de France
Dutchman Dumoulin leapfrogged defending champion Froome into second, after a decisive attack 2 kilometres from the finish. The Tour de France , which began on July 7, will finish in Paris on Sunday.

"He's in shape, he's ready to go". "To my family, my fans, thank you for support", he said. "So now it's just about getting back to business, and we hope to have some news to announce very soon".

After McGregor failed to defend the lightweight title for more than a year, Nurmagomedov was given the belt after beating Al Iaquinta at UFC 223 in Brooklyn. McGregor is not allowed near either until July 2020.

Now that McGregor's legal issues are behind him, the path has been cleared for the Irishman to return to the Octagon.

Nurmagomedov, the current 155-pound champion, was on the bus and said he had to be restrained to keep from fighting McGregor. McGregor, however, did not lose the title, instead being stripped for inactivity in the aftermath of his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather a year ago.
