National Archives Says Kavanaugh Doc Request Could Go On Through October

Kavanaugh tells senators Mueller’s appointment was appropriate report

Before President Trump selected his nominee, Majority Leader McConnell Senate Majority Leader reportedly warned the White House that Kavanaugh's massive "paper trail" would slow down his confirmation process.

A Republican Judiciary Committee aide said the letter would not alter the timeline Grassley has set forth, however, and that he still expected to hold a confirmation hearing "sometime in September".

Grassley called it probably the "deepest dive" ever conducted on a Supreme Court nominee.

Republicans hope to have Kavanaugh confirmed by the start of the next Supreme Court session, October 1.

"I want to really complement the Democrats who have stood up and are willing to stand up for Judge Kavanaugh because they realize we can't keep going down this partisan, picky, stupid, dumbass road that has happened around here for so long", he said. Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) have been negotiating for weeks about what documents would be requested but ultimately did not reach a consensus. It cited the sheer number of documents and emails relating to the D.C. Circuit Court judge's work in the Counsel's Office, which "could be more than 900,000 pages". I will support his nomination to the Supreme Court this fall.

Democrats say the documents they are requesting, including the staff secretary papers, are crucial to understanding all aspects Kavanaugh's background, particular his role in forming policy under Bush.

Many, especially Hindus, completed their dinner early by 8 pm on Friday and ate nothing till the eclipse came to an end. The planetarium had organised a "Moon Carnival" and set up special telescopes for people to experience the phenomenon.

Republicans are calling Democrats' request for more documents a delay tactic, but the letter from the National Archives shows that Kavanaugh's confirmation may be delayed even without Democratic action.

"Getting the documents is especially important", said Sen. "We don't know what they've held back, or why".

Democrats said the letter is an admission that the GOP is engaging in an unusual process to pre-screen documents sent to Capitol Hill, ensuring that even records from his time at the White House Counsel's office will not be publicly disclosed.

More than 50 lawyers from three law firms are on the Burck-led team, according to an official familiar with the process.

The senator's frustration spilled over from Wednesday, when he said Democrats had gone "borking mad". "I'm exhausted of partisanship, and frankly, we didn't treat their candidates for these positions the way they're treating ours". "(Patrick) Leahy as historic", continued Tillis.

"It's just wonderful to me that they make such a farce out of this", Hatch, R-Utah, said at news conference with members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, including Sen. "I'm sick and exhausted of it to be honest with you".
