Unlike Trump, first lady has kind words for LeBron James

Cleveland Cavaliers star Le Bron James speaks as Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton listens during a campaign stop at Cleveland Public Hall in Cleveland Sunday Nov. 6 2016

"[LeBron James]. He's doing an unbelievable job for his community". "Tweet about that. (A) professional athlete doing a good thing for his community".

James, who recently sat down with CNN anchor Don Lemon to discuss founding the I Promise School for low-income and at-risk kids, gave his unfiltered view of the political world.

"[The first lady's] platform centers around visiting organizations, hospitals and schools, and she would be open to visiting the I Promise School in Akron", said Grisham.

"Unlike this president who lashes out wildly at anyone who criticizes him, LeBron James - in addition to being a brilliant black man, a superstar in his sport, and a hero to his community - is taking the high road, which is exactly where he belongs".

Lemon nor James has responded to Trump's tweet.

Retired NBA player Michal Jordan, who the American Chief Executive Donald Trump mentioned in the tweet – ending with “I like Mike!” – Jordan.

Melania Trump isn't on her husband's side in his personal battle with LeBron James.

Earlier this week, James told CNN during an interview with Don Lemon that sport had offered him the opportunity to meet people of different backgrounds and race. The President ended his tweet with the seemingly unrelated exclamation of "I like Mike!"

The newspaper, calling the algae outbreak a "crisis", says the suspected cause of death is red tide poisoning. Pelicans, manatees and a whale shark have also washed ashore since this unprecedented bloom started.

James, one of the most prominent athletes in the USA, has been critical of Trump for years. "If someone tried to recruit a LeBron to run for president, they said, "Listen, they've got no one, if you don't run, Trump's going to win, ' would you run?"

In June, Trump said that neither the Cleveland Cavaliers - James' previous team - nor the Golden State Warriors would be invited to the White House following the NBA Finals.

Friday night, the president tweeted his displeasure about both men.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver, who was at the league's NBA Africa Game on Saturday in Johannesburg, South Africa, commended James for his work on and off the court.

"He's dividing us", James said.

James had said in an interview that Trump was divisive and had emboldened racists.

Mr Trump's first comments about the National Football League and players who protest during the anthem came later that month.

Trump's Twitter post came hours before he was due to hold an election rally in Ohio, James's home state, ahead of a special congressional election on Tuesday - the last major partisan electoral test before the November midterms.
