Everton Agree Deal to Sign Mina From Barcelona

The 25-year-old had been a free agent since leaving Shakhtar Donestk at the end of last season and was inundated with offers, particularly from the Premier League.

Everton had a dramatic end to the window, wrapping up deals for Bernard - the Brazil global who arrived on a free from Shakthar Donetsk - and Andre Gomes, the Portuguese midfielder who had also been at Barcelona. The Merseyside club have reached an agreement with Barcelona to sign the player in a £28.5 million deal, with the Blaugrana inserting a buyback clause as well.

Portugal global Gomes endured even greater struggles at LaLiga's champions and has found an escape route in the shape of a season-long loan at Goodison Park, which will cost the Toffees €2.25million.

The winger, 20, wanted to leave for Red Bull Leipzig following a loan spell there last term, but Everton blocked it.

The La Liga champions confirmed Mina's move for a fee of around £27 million, saying they had an option to buy him back. This is a great opportunity for me and I am looking forward to competing here.
