Trump attacks 'Wacky' Omarosa after she releases tape of their phone call

HEAR IT Omarosa releases secret recording of John Kelly talking to her about 'leaving' the White House

Former presidential adviser and Apprentice contestant, Omarosa Manigault Newman released another audio recording of a conversation about her termination from the White House - this time apparently with U.S. President Donald Trump.

"No... I, I. Nobody even told me about it", Trump replied. Spokeswoman Sarah Sanders on Sunday also said the recordings, including one in the White House's secure Situation Room, showed "a blatant disregard for our national security".

In the taped conversation in the White House Situation Room, which is used for confidential meetings about sensitive national security issues and off-limits to cellphones and other electronic devices, Kelly told Manigault Newman that he was axing her over "serious integrity violations".

As for the potential legal repercussions of secretly taping within one of the most secure White House conference rooms-an action she said she felt she needed to take to protect her own credibility-Manigault-Newman says she's not anxious.

Manigault Newman told Todd that she made the recordings of conversations because "this is a White House where everybody lies" and "you have to have your back".

NBC News did not know what was said before or after that short exchange.

One of those recordings included her firing by Chief of Staff John Kelly in the high-security Situation Room where cell phones and other recording devices are not allowed.

Trump criticized her job performance at the White House.

"General Kelly came to me and said that you guys want me to leave", she said.

NASA postpones for 24 hours launch of historic spaceship to Sun
The current close-to-the-sun champ, NASA's former Helios 2, got within 27 million miles (43 million kilometers) in 1976. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time this evening to go troubleshoot that and try again for a launch.

Tweeting on Monday, Mr Trump said his former Apprentice co-star had only started to attack him after she lost her job.

Another tense moment occurred when Guthrie asked Manigault Newman about an alleged tape she claims she has of Trump using the N-word on The Apprentice.

"This is his pattern with African-Americans, and he doesn't know how to control himself". "He was somebody that I aspired to be like", she said. You are wonderful, okay, and i just want to thank you very much for everything you've done.

Mercedes Schlapp, a White House spokesperson, told NBC News that Childs and Smith work closely on economic development issues for "urban communities and urban revitalization".

She said in a statement that she feels "pity for Omarosa as she embarrasses herself by creating salacious lies and distortions just to try to be relevant and enrich herself by selling books at the expense of the truth". But I will say this to you; I was complicit with the White House deceiving this nation. Manigault Newman evades the questions by asking Americans to "read the book", and things get awkward when Guthrie says the particular allegation isn't in the book.

Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani said on Monday: "She was certainly violating national security regulations, which I think have the force of law".

Although those who work in the White House are public employees, Conway argued confidentiality is still implied.

Omarosa's comments on Monday morning add to a series of shifting explanations for the circumstances surrounding her firing.

"I had to protect myself and I had no regret about it", she explained. She acknowledges she had never been able to obtain or hear the tapes but said three unnamed sources had described their contents.
