Melania Trump Publicly Calls for National Security Council Official's Firing

The office of First Lady Melania Trump has officially laid down the gauntlet and called for deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel to be booted from the White House.

Ricardel, who is one of National Security Advisor John Bolton's top aides, is also suspected of leaking damaging information about Mrs Trump, according to the Wall Street Journal.

First Lady Melania Trump has taken the extraordinary step of publicly demanding one of the president's senior national security officials be sacked.

Politico also reports that Ricardel may also be responsible for a breakdown in communication between the Pentagon and NSC because she has a less than rosy relationship with Defense Secretary Jim Mattis.

News that the first lady wanted Ricardel gone comes as the president looks to shift around key players in his post-midterms White House.

Trump has told White House officials he has begun contemplating replacements for Nielsen.

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen is reportedly being forced out of her position soon, sources said in a Washington Post report.

The reports of the shake-up has come after a statement was released by Melania Trump's spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham.

His 11 forced fumbles since the start of the 2016 season are the most in the National Football League in that span. Oakland was expected to enter the season with Irvin and Khalil Mack leading the defense as bookend pass rushers.

Trump has not finalized the timing for Nielsen's firing because of a lack of obvious candidates to replace her, according to the newspaper.

The president (center with Melania Trump right) reportedly wants someone tougher on immigration.

Mrs. Trump is very protective of her husband and is considered to be an influential adviser, as many first ladies have been with their spouses.

Kelly, who is said to have had his own clashes with Bolton and Ricardel, reportedly ignored requests from Mrs Trump to promote some of her East Wing-based staff.

Mr. Kelly has been at odds with members of the National Security Council. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss White House personnel matters, said Ricardel then threatened not to send any NSC staff.

But sources say she could fall victim to the president's frustration that his immigration agenda has stalled.

The department's press secretary said in a statement to Business Insider that Nielsen was honored to serve in the Trump administration and was committed to continuing her service.

The First Lady posted a series of photos of herself at the White House, in view of her 11.2 million followers. Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions was thought to be on the outs for months before he actually was pushed out.
