PSG Players Influenced Timothy Weah's Move To Celtic

Blades boss Chris Wilder

Celtic are top of the Scottish Premiership but are being pushed hard by Rangers, who are level with them on 42 points, and Kilmarnock on 41, though both have played a game more.

Timothy Weah, the son of Liberian President and former world best player, George Weah has joined Scottish club Celtic FC on loan from French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG). "There's a possibility here for me, as soon as Celtic let us know, I was really keen and hopefully it's for the better".

Celtic have lost four league matches this term, matching their overall tally for the previous campaign, while Rodgers was undefeated domestically in his first season.

The Hoops have already been very busy in January, bringing in three players so far.

I was like, 'Yeah, I had a meeting with the manager and I'm really loving the team, I'm really loving the club so I'm going to come.' He saw me today in the locker room and he was laughing and joking". Other teams have invested well and improved. "The second half of the season will be really exciting".

However, when asked about the Ibrox club's transfer activity, he said he was "not one for looking over the fence" and was focused on trying "to look after my own garden".

Defender Jack Hendry, midfielder Scott Allan, and winger Lewis Morgan come come into that bracket, with Hendry the most likely to depart, having not started a game since early October.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said on the club's official website on Monday: 'Timothy's a young talent who is full global player.

Rodgers, speaking yesterday in Dubai, made it clear he was not impressed with the pictures of his troubled player on a day out with friends at Newcastle last weekend, and spoke of Griffiths needing to keep "a low profile" while working on his well publicised issues.
